A tradition of academic excellence. Oxford Brookes University is a premier learning and teaching institution with an outstanding research record.  They are widely acknowledged to be the UK’s leading modern university, surpassing many older institutions in newspaper league tables. While they are proud of that accolade, their vision is simply to become one of the very best of all universities.

Oxford Brookes University is the only UK modern university to have achieved 24 subjects rated as excellent for teaching. They have a longstanding reputation for employability, and are host to two national centers of excellence in teaching and learning.

I joined Oxford Brookes University to do a BA with Honours in Business Administration and Marketing Management.

While at Oxford Brookes, I lead a very active life, becoming a member of a number of various societies and activities.

I joined the Oxford University Officers Training Corp where I joined the Cavalry section and successfully passed my MTQ2 exams. I then went on to train for the Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) and took my selection Main Boards exams which I passed with a confirmed acceptance to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) as a Regular Officer. During my time with the UOTC, I took part in a number of training exercises and annual camps. I was nominated best cadet of the Oxford UOTC for the year 2003 and achieved both sniper and radio operator qualification courses in 2003 /4. I also became a qualified driver of the FV107 Scimitar armoured reconnaissance vehicle.

I also joined the Oxford University as well as the St John’s College wine tasting societies, the reverse society, the OU adventurer’s society, the food appreciation society, both the German and French societies as well as the eminent debating society. I also seem to remember joining the Oxford University whiskey appreciation society but those evenings were always a little blurry.

I became a member of the “Maison Francaise d’Oxford” attached to Oxford University where I lived and took an active part in all their activities.

Within Oxford Brookes, I joined various entrepreneur and business promotion societies. Became a Student Ambassador and represented the university at nationwide fairs and promotional events.

I took the option to take an Erasmus year abroad as part of my course with Oxford Brookes University and went to the Regensburg Fachoschule in Germany to do that.
